“CNZ Forestry Commitment”

Carbon NetZero B.V. (CNZ)

adheres to strict principles of sustainable land management.
Our forestry practices are based on:

  1. Residual wood only – we utilize pruning material and other forest residues as the sole biomass input for our biochar facilities.

  2. Afforestation – we actively engage in forest expansion by planting new trees in designated areas.

  3. Tree planting initiatives – we commit to continuous planting of additional trees alongside existing forests.

  4. Carbon-positive forestry – our approach ensures that the total number of trees on our managed land consistently increases, creating a net positive effect on forest cover and carbon storage.

This framework guarantees that our biochar operations strengthen ecosystems, expand biodiversity, and generate measurable, certifiable climate benefits.

At CNZ, we practice afforestation,
planting new trees in addition to existing forests, so that the total number of trees continuously increases
