  • For local communities in this remote location with no infrastructure, the project is intended to be more than a carbon removal system. One local biomass-to-biochar operation can create practical jobs, support training, and strengthen local infrastructure while converting eligible residual woody biomass into stable biochar. This includes local roles in handling, transport, operations, and technical support, as well as improved access to basic healthcare through a clinic and pharmacy.
